Osvaldo Mendoza — Founder & Director

With over three decades devoted to the art of mariachi, Osvaldo Mendoza stands out as a distinguished musician, teacher, and cultural promoter. He was a member of Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán, Mexico’s most renowned mariachi ensemble, with whom he performed internationally and collectively received UNESCO recognition for mariachi as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Passionate about music since childhood, Osvaldo has devoted his life not only to performing, but also to shaping new generations of musicians—teaching them discipline, respect, and pride in their Mexican tradition.

His vision led him to found the Mariachi Conservatory, a unique space dedicated to preserving and transmitting the mariachi legacy with academic excellence, comprehensive training, and a deep sense of cultural identity.

Today, his name is synonymous with passion, commitment, and leadership—qualities that inspire students and colleagues both in Mexico and beyond.
